Default BC Fraser Valley - Cloverdale Wood & Tool Show

really only of use to Fraser Valley Residents.
October 15th -17th (Fri. Sat. Sun.) Admission $10, Seniors $7
http://toolshows.ca/wp/cloverdale/
Only just found out about the show, last year it was at Tradex but this year looks like it's moved back to Cloverdale. Unfortunately, I don't see any "pen kit vendors" .... again! I'm not even sure Lee Valley are going to be there this year.

Yeah, somehow I don't think LOML will want to travel to this one. Woodstock was fine but not much further.

Hi David,

We heard about the show as well, too bad it isn't at the Tradex. We won't be going since Pete will be away on Saturday and some of his honey-do list has an expiry date ... but we'll see you in November.

Don't know, but it sure looks like this show is really going downhill fast! I see they don't even give a list of exibtors any more. Sad, a few years agao it was such a good show. |I can't see us boys & girls on the Island paying the ferry system to go there. I haven't had anyone comment on going to it.

I agree Mike re going downhill, & as you say probably not worth the ferry fare from the Island. I don't understand it, last two years it was at Tradex in Abbotsford, FV woodturners had a booth & the show seemed very well attended. 3 years ago it was at Cloverdale, don't know why they tried the move. Perhaps Tradex is just too expensive a venue.
This year I had to search to find out when & where it was on, (though I have heard radio ads this week), just bad marketing I think & I may be wrong but it appears many the 'local' toolstores are not there this year...
There is a list of Vendors but it seems to be more machinery now.

From what I've heard attendances are down at many "shows" craft fairs etc.

Can't remember if it was 4 or 5 years ago that I drove all the way out west to the Cloverdale one and it was such a wash out of minimal exhibitors and poor attendance that most people were asking for and getting a refund on their admission price.
I didn't ask for a refund because I had plans for some tool shopping at another location there but I sure wouldn't waste my time and money to go to that show if it was in Cloverdale again.

Default For BC folks - wood show special!

It's always been logistically impossible for us to get to any wood shows out west and the show this weekend in BC is no exception.

So, we're offering a wood show special to our friends in BC - free shipping on orders $100+ (before taxes, shipping) this weekend only. Canada Post expedited service. British Columbia addresses only.

Free shipping valid Friday, October 15 to Sunday, October 17 only - ends at 9 pm Eastern/6 pm Pacific. NO EXCEPTIONS.

I think we in the west realise that it's just not feasable or cost effective for a small business to travel from Ontario to BC just to sell a few penkits.
You didn't have to do that, but once again it shows your commitment to customer service.
Thank You Bill & Lilian, a very nice gesture on your part.
I for one will be taking advantage of your kind offer.
