Default Looking for your ideas and suggestions

It's soon to be contest time again...and I'm looking for ideas and suggestions for this year's competition.

For those who've joined the site in the last 12 or so months, we usually run a contest on this forum in the summer months. Winners are chosen by site members through voting. Prizes are available - a grand prize and often a second or third prize as well.

In the past, we've run contests for knots, Slimlines, bottle stoppers, and Christmas themes. You can see past entries and winners in the "contests" forum.

All ideas welcome!

Talking Oh! Oh! Pick mine!!

I would like to suggest pens of at least 2 different materials. No restrictions on the kit. That would open the range of possibilities (but not restricted to) to segmenting, casting, laminating, and the imagination.

Default Bump!!!

Kind of amazes me that so many members with such a diverse interests, abilities and strong opinions have nothing to say about the theme for a contest that so many will want to be a part of.

Come on folks show a little interest and enthusiasm!

Toss forth and idea!!

Pete

A couple of ideas for you:

- A pen and penholder combo, no restrictions.

- The most original but functionnal pen, no restrictions.

- A pen that combines more than one kit into one (mismatching)

- A pen that uses only the transmission and tubes from a given kit.

- A segmented pen

Regards,

I second the segment idea with a couple of restrictions

1- Must be a two section kit (making alignment interesting)
2- Minimum 4 different types or colours of material.
3- Obviously a minimum of 4 segments, but no maximum. Actuallythe old saying "the more the merrier" should be encouraged.

I like the segmentation theme........that and I have been really lazy to do them and need to try something different so I can make mistakes and keep learning.

Oh ya...do it the hard way!!!!!

Fine, I`ll vote for segmenting!

(And anything else that I think is cool or pen related!)

Make something turned from all those little pieces of exotic pen blanks that many of us have saved over the years. It could be a segmented pen or maybe not, so long as it is turned.
