Looking for a decent setup for tool sharpening.

Have looked at Tormek T-7 hhttp://www.advmachinery.com/default.asp?pg=tormek (http://www.advmachinery.com/default.asp?pg=tormekttp://)

And the Jet JSSG-10JT

But I heard of another one Triton T8SH

What do you fine folks have to say about these systems and where can I get my hands on them in Canada?

Looks like the only one I can get in Canada so far is the Tormek one. But it is pricey.

Ideas?

First and foremost wet sharpening is the way to go...very little tool loss(steel loss) and the process keeps the tool cool. I have the Tormak..and I like it a lot and works well. But from what I can tell after looking at other brands they all seem pretty similar (just an opinion no experience) For years Tormak had the patent on the design, last year the patent expired and since then all the makers have been marketing them. Jet typically works this way...so probably they are pretty much the same and jet is definably cheaper.

The Tormek plus the woodturning accessories will be close to 770 plus shipping and taxes.

Time to bite the bullet again.

i have the tormek, and had it for a couple of years. do i like it, YES I DO, i have tried the jet but i think its not as well made. although the tormek jigs can be used with the jet, no problems. the tormek t-7 comes with a 7 year warranty and free replacement stones for life.but dont get carried away max is 3 stones. but all in all if your money can stretch, i would go the tormek way;)
