I live in southern Saskatchewan. I got hooked on wood turning two years ago. My wife bought a mandrel and other items for me for christmas, now I am hooked on pens although I have only turned 10 or so. I did manage to sell a few items around christmas time. Tops, Bowls, coffee scoops, now a couple of pens. Reading fourms on the internet is the best learning tool that I have used, apart from a one day class that I attended on bowl making In Saskatoon.:)

Hi Arnold. Glade to see another Saskatchewan boy on the site.
Which bowl turning class did you take in Saskatoon? I have taken a couple of classes at LV in S'toon.

I was at that class too. Really enjoyed it as well but I lost some of the bark edge and then later it cracked:mad:.
Right now my one of my problems is getting wood to turn. I have some dry wood but there are lots of cracks to work around. Would love to have some nice green wood to work with. The other is getting time to turn, still working on the shop as well as redecorating in the house.
Looking forward to a scroll saw seminar at LV next weekend. I think it will be lots of fun.
