I built this lathe base to finally move my lathe from the basement to the shop. Made from extra 2x6 tenons and mortises joints. Top made from left over maple floor boards. Since it's pretty slippery, I created small indents where the lathe's feet are located so it doesn't move around.

One more step to a fully functional shop!

Looks great but your shop is too clean. :D

I'm still in the setting up part, then I'll be able to messy it up.

I'd take the rubber feet off and bolt it to the bench otherwise it could still move when you start turning something larger than pens.

From the looks of some of these shop pictures I have seen lately I am beginning to have my doubts if anything is really done in them:D

Looks like the start of a nice shop Louis. Mine is in the basement, 4 concrete block walls and concrete floor and it's likely going to stay that way.
