Hi All
I find that rather than using your fingers to hold the blank while applying the CA, it maybe more practical to insert the tube/s in a dowel. Apply the 1st half and by the time the CA drys turn the dowel over and apply the other half. This way you avoid getting Ca on your fingers.

Is this for finishing? I'm not sure I understand your description.

Hi Keith. I don't like using them either. What I do is fold a drinking straw in half near the end and insert it in the tube. This allows me to apply the CA while just rolling the blank in my hand. Then I put the straw with the tube/blank on a nail on my 'drying post'.
Works for me.

Hi
I took Lilian method of using Q tips. Cheap effective and if any cotton stays on the blank it comes off with the sandpaper.

I'm surprised Bill Young hasn't posted his CA/BLO on here. It is basically the one I use. I did his and Bill & Lillians one. Both finishes were equall, but Bill's is way easier.
I'm sure Bill will be happy to help here.
