Excellent job on everything Rick! I especially like the pocket watch. I've been wanting to make some but the "banker":D won't let me get any yet!

Thanks Tom if you do get some don't bother with the drill bit. I've got the right forstner bit but I find it is a bit large so I use the small parting tool that came with the lathe.

Here's another in BOW. I got some bottle stopper blanks in BOW from Nolan on IAP and if you cut 3/8 inch off the end it's still big enough for a stopper plus you get this from it.

Very very nice pocket watch Rick. I have some of this before I started penturning, so I know what you talk about with the forstener bit.

I like the watches. How much do you ask for them if I can be so bold?

I got a nice kit from PSI came with forstner bit chucks and 4 "clock" movements ,been too busy doing pens to get to them as yet. Might end up as desk sets instead of pocket watches though ! :)

I got the first ones from Lee Valley, The next ones I got from Bear Woods Supply http://www.woodparts.ca/CLOCK-INSERT176.HTML (http://www.bearwood.com/CLOCK-INSERT176.HTML) They ship from Nova Scotia prices are better.

Peter I figured about $30.

The show was a bust though, I think there were move vendors than buyers. People just aren't spending at least around here. Sold one bottle stopper. Hope Mack does better on his shows.
